Roxby Downs Golf Club

During our visit to Roxby Downs in October we called in to look at the local golf course. Apparently the course was undergoing some refurbishment to make it into a quality course. The signs indicated that an irrigation project was underway.  It was surprising to see such a beautifully green course after visiting the very interesting course at Coober Pedy with black sand greens and dirt fairways.  

I found the garden decoration interesting with a large 'golf club' shaped log propped up beside a giant golf ball. There were quite few birds around and I understand that one of the tips for the course is to spray golf balls with insect repellent when the crows are near to stop them nicking the balls. This looked like a very interesting course and I imagine would be popular during winter when it is not so hot.
