The St George Hotel can be found on the corner of Henry Street and St Georges Terrace in the lovely little Queensland town of St George. This Hotel has views from the covered beer garden overlooking the Balonne River - a lovely cool spot to enjoy a beer.
While staying at the Pelican Rest Tourist Park on the edge of town we decided to try the St George Hotel for lunch. Great food nice atmosphere, friendly staff. We had steak Sandwich – huge with a plate full of chips - no fat on steak which was nice and tender. Chicken Lasagna and mash – yes mash because we had chips on other plate. Very tasty.
It was a Friday afternoon and the hotel was quite busy with locals and people travelling through town. Overall a lovely meal out.
