The Lynd Oasis Roadhouse - Conjuboy

We headed a short distance out of our way along the Kennedy Developmental Road to visit the Oasis Roadhouse at Lynd Junction to purchase some fuel. This is a very neat and tidy Roadhouse with a caravan and camping areas out the back. There are plenty of shaded areas around the camping ground and the amenities were spotlessly clean. The shop sells coffee, takeaway food and basic supplies - very popular for road trains to break their long trip through outback Queensland, and to stop for a feed. 

Attached to the Oasis Roadhouse is the smallest bar in Australia which is only 1.2 metres wide - just enough room for two people to stand at the bar at any one time. Of course we had a XXXX Gold and took several photos - what a fun place. They told me that it is very busy on Friday evenings when the local station owners meet at the Roadhouse to catch up over a couple of drinks - they don't all have to squeeze inside this tiny bar as there are plenty of tables in the outdoor area.
