While visiting this part of the coast of West Australia we stayed at Point Samson and drove to Karratha several times to look around and check out the Karratha Visitor Information Centre. This Visitor Information Centre is on outskirts of town and we found the staff very helpful with a ideas on what to see and do as well as were to enjoy coffee or lunch.
Beside the VIC is a dirt track to the lookout and there is a great view of the city and out to sea. Beside the track were some Sturt's Desert Pea flowers growing - beautiful.
The Karratha VIC is open seven days a week - Monday to Friday 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, Saturday 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, and Sunday 9.00 am to 1.00 pm, Public Holidays 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.
