We called into Halls Creek for a cuppa on our way to Fitzroy Crossing. This is a small town which was very busy on the Saturday morning of our visit as the markets were operating. The Aquatic and Recreation Centre looks new and is located on the main road - I bet this is a popular place on hot days.
We had our morning tea outside the Visitor Information Centre which is very well stocked with local artworks, jewellery and books on the area. A quick drive around to look at the Caravan Park which is quite small but adequate for an overnight stay. Across the road from this caravan park is the Kimberley Hotel where motel rooms are available, and we have been told the meals are very good.
The Shell Service Station on the main road has a good range of grocery items and we found the staff very friendly and helpful.
