Little Lagoon is located close to Denham in Western Australia. This Lagoon began as a gypsum pan - once land locked and now open to the ocean by a narrow channel. This is a popular spot for fishing, swimming, canoeing and kite-boarding - a beautiful spot for a picnic lunch. There are toilet facilities as well as barbeques provided at various locations around the edge of the Lagoon.
We visited Little Lagoon to enjoy our lunch on the beautiful sheltered platform overlooking the channel. I was very impressed to see that this viewing platform had wheelchair access which enabled fishing for everyone in the narrow channel between Little Lagoon and the ocean.
We did not catch any fish during our visit but we did see some beautiful finches in mangroves surrounding the lagoon.
