Lobster Shack - Cervantes

The Lobster Shack is a tourist attraction located on the beach at Cervantes, Western Australia. They run regular tours of the Indian Ocean Rock Lobster factory known as the Lobster Shack. The Western Rock Lobster is processed here and you are able to view aspects of the processing operation before stopping by the takeaway shop to purchase some freshly cooked lobster - as they say from "lobster pot to cooking pot!"

Visitors can travel on board the  lobster fishing vessel to experience a day in the life of a lobster fishermen and then check out the factory to see how LIVE lobsters are packaged and sent all over the world. Unfortunately the tours were closed during our visit to Cervantes so I suggest you check with the Visitor Information Centre.
