Wandi Pub - Wandiligong

The Mountain View Hotel at Wandiligong is better known as the Wandi Pub and a very popular place to go for lunch when staying near Bright in Victoria.  This pub can be accessed via a bicycle trail that runs from Bright to Wadiligong.  We saw several families riding along the path which appears to be flat and about 6 kilometres each way.

There is plenty of shade along the way and Wandi Pub is a relaxing place to take a break and enjoy a cold drink with lunch before heading back to Bright. We were advised by locals to make sure we had lunch at the Wandi Pub during our stay. Very interesting with eclectic seating – various timber chairs and tables on the verandah and inside, plus a range of tables and benches under the trees.

The meals are not your usual pub food and we enjoyed pulled chicken tacos – very hot but tasty.  Slow cooked lamb with white bean pure, feta, grilled zucchini and crispy bread - yum.  

Very friendly, helpful service with lunch served until 2:30 pm each day.
