Pine Point is a small town on the Yorke Peninsula in South Australia, between Point Turton and Ardrossan - about 2 hours drive from Adelaide. Pine Point has sandy beaches and shallow calm waters which make it a popular spot with families. It is also well known for crabbing during the summer months and the Pine Point Caravan Park provides fish and crab cooking facilities for guests.
Pine Point has some lovely old buildings, large mud flats with lots of pine trees (as the name would sugget) and fields of wheat and barley along the main road. The Pine Point General Store has basic essentials, fuel and takeaway food. For all other shopping requirements Ardrossan, to the north, or Port Vincent to the south are only a short drive away.
The small hamlet of Black Point is just a short drive away, or you can walk there at low tide - there is also a caravan and camping ground which can be booked through the Pine Point Caravan Park.
