We used the Jayco Eagle Outback camper for several years and found it very easy to tow. This unit is spacious inside when set up and provides plenty of seating. The cupboards are well designed and allow easy access and provide adequate storage. The Eagle camper offers a queen bed at one end and a double bed at the other. If required the table will convert to a single bed.
We optioned our Jayco Eagle with Inner Spring mattresses and a kitchen awning, both of which we found extremely useful. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen awning gave us privacy as well as protection from the sun and rain. The standard bag awning is robust but heavy and requires two people to erect. We ended up replacing this with a Fiamma bag awning which was light weight, strong and quick to set up.
We found that this camper took us about 45 minutes to fully set up with bed end fly’s and the standard awning. This time was extended to 1 1/2 hours if we were setting up the annex as well - we did this when staying in one place for a while.
These are very popular units with young families and they retain their value when selling privately on the second hand market, particularly the outback model. Once we advertised our Eagle for sale it was gone within the week.
