Four Mile Beach Esplanade - Port Douglas

The Esplanade at Four Mile Beach runs along the town end of the Beach and is busy with cafes, restaurants and apartment accommodation. We enjoyed lunch at the Four Mile Beach Surf Life Saving Club Bar and Bistro and then strolled along the Esplanade to return to our car.

There is access to the beach and the patrolled swimming area is not far away. Keep your eyes open as we saw a family of Curlews resting in the shade of a tree at the end of the Esplanade - interesting birds with a very distinct cry at night.

There seemed to be adequate parking spaces and we did not have to walk far to enjoy this beautiful part of Port Douglas.
