The Blue Heeler Hotel - Kynuna

The Blue Heeler Hotel is located about 164 kilometres northwest of Winton on the Landsborough (Matilda) Highway in outback Queensland. We called in for a drink on our way to Mount Isa and had an interesting chat to the publican. The Blue Heeler has motel rooms and a caravan park for overnight accommodation. The caravan park was closed at the time of our visit as it was heading into the quiet tourist season and they were re-establishing the gardens and lawn areas. 

This is an old country pub and the drinks were beautifully cold.
