Charters Towers Golf Club is located on the Lynd Highway (Gregory Developmental Road) on the northern side of town. It can be found beside the Dalrymple Tourist Van Park and is an interesting 9 hole course with two set of tees if you want to play a longer game. The greens are nice and large and you will need accuracy to avoid the bunkers. The green fees include a water surcharge and were $15 for 9 holes in June 2015.
Charters Towers Golf Club has a covered outdoor seating area and Happy Hour is every Friday night. Plenty of car parking at the front of the Club and golf carts area available which is a very good idea on a hot Queensland afternoon.
