Timber Creek is an isolated small town on the banks of the Victoria River in the Northern Territory of Australia. The Victoria Highway passes through the town, which is the only significant settlement between the Western Australia border and the town of Katherine to the east. Timber Creek is approximately 600 kilometres (370 mi) south of Darwin, in an area is known for its scenic escarpments and Boab trees.© Wikipedia

Timber Creek is a small town in the Northern Territory - between Katherine and the border of Western Australia. It is a convenient place to stay for the night with two caravan parks -
There are plenty of places to park when towing a caravan and some lovely shaded picnic tables in front of the roadhouse. There are several shops to call in for coffee or book a cruise along the Victoria River - maybe go fishing for barramundi. We saw a great selection of souvenirs and interesting little gifts in The Croc Shop.
Just past Timber Creek is Bradshaw Bridge which is a great spot to take photos of the Victoria River - safely away from the edge and crocodiles.
