Salt Creek Rest Area

Salt Creek Rest Area is along Luritja Road in the Northern Territory - as you head towards Kings Canyon from the Lasseter Highway. We stopped at this convenient rest area on our way to Kings Canyon Resort and again as we were leaving to head south.

This is a large area to pull off the road while towing a caravan and had plenty of shade. Be warned that the flies can be present in very large numbers - we really needed our fly nets during this stop.

Salt Creek Rest Area allows 24 hours stopping if you wanted to free camp overnight. There are seats provided under shelters and a number of garbage bins. This area has plenty of space for large rigs but not much else.
