We always like to commence our visit to a town by stopping at the Visitor Information Centre for some local knowledge on things to see and do. It is easy to find this outlet in Uralla as it is located in the centre of town, on the main road and a short stroll from Thunderbolt’s Statue.
The Uralla Visitor Information Centre is open every day except Good Friday and Christmas Day - 9:30 am to 4:30 pm weekdays and 10 am to 3 pm on weekends.
We collected some maps of the area and found out about upcoming events in Uralla and Armidale. The VIC has a range of local products and souvenirs - you can even hire a Gold pan to try your luck at the nearby Fossicking Reserve.Rock Hunter’s Rendezvous within the VIC is a display of minerals and gemstones. collected by local resident and rock hunter Harry Wooldridge.
