Moonbi is a small community situated along the New England Highway between Tamworth and Armidale in NSW.
A little further up the hillside you will come to a sign indicating the Moonbi lookout - I recommend that you detour off the main road and take a look. Large car park at the top of the pass, off the main road with stairs built up the side of a large rock. This was created in 1938 and has some very interesting stone walls.
Great views over the peel valley towards Tamworth from the top of the rock viewing platform - you can also see Moonbi.
