There are three cabins at Dawsons Spring campground found just past the Mount Kaputar summit. They are well appointed with each cabin allocated a name for easy identification:
You will need to take your own linen, blankets and food - cutlery and crockery are supplied. Each cabin has a fridge, microwave, and a wood fire (wood is provided). Beautifully built among the gum trees with plenty of space to park the car.
The campground nearby has picnic tables, barbeques and a well-equipped amenities block (flushing toilets and hot showers) - lots of shade and prolific bird life. You can hear the creek running below and there a number of bush walks to enjoy during the day.
One of these tracks will take bush walkers to the summit of Mount Kaputar with spectacular views - you can see for miles on a clear day. If you just want a relaxing few days then these cabins are in a great spot to sit back, relax and read a good book (maybe in front of an open fire).
