Pensioners Hill in Gunnedah is accessed via Lloyds Road and only a short distance to town. The stones on the hill were erected by the Club of Gunnedah and sculptures have been created to show Gunnedah's rich cultural heritage. There are also totem poles and a great view of the town.
A path meanders through the gardens and past the wonderful stone sculptures and then a raised walkway offers great views of surrounding countryside. A shaded pergoda has been built at the top of the hill and covered picnic tables and garbage bins are provided for visitors. Plenty of parking - a lovely place to visit and get a sense of the history of this thriving country town in NSW.
