Our modern four berth executive cabins feature a queen bed in the main bedroom, and two single ensemble beds in the second bedroom. The cabins have full kitchen facilities, including a full-size fridge, microwave, dining area and lounge. A television and DVD player are located in the lounge area, with a second television in the main bedroom. Each bathroom has a shower, toilet and vanity. Reverse cycle heating and cooling are provided. Linen and towels are provided as standard on the Queen bed. Linen is available on request for additional beds at an additional fee.
The 4 Berth Executive Cabin (C3 on the park map) at the BIG4 Bendigo Marong Holiday Park is a little smaller than the other two cabins photographed during our visit. This cabin has two single beds in the second bedroom making it ideal for families travelling with smaller children (don’t have to worry about climbing onto the top bunk). This is a lovely light room with two large windows and these are fittted with block-out blinds for any daytime naps required.
The main bedroom is a very good size with plenty of room for a porta-cot at the end of the queen bed. It is equipped with ceiling fan, wall mounted TV and wardrobe with shelves as well as hanging space and bedside tables. Two large windows allowing plenty of light during the day (again block out blinds on the windows if required).
The living room is located in the centre of the cabin and consists of kitchen, dining table and comfortable lounge - plus air conditioner and ceiling fan for comfort during your stay. A TV sits on a shelf above the fridge and the kitchen bench runs along the back wall. The kitchen is well equipped with pots, pans, crockery and even coloured plastic mugs for the children. Again, I found the ice tray full for a cold drinks on arrival - very welcome after a long drive.
Through the bathroom to a separate toilet with sliding door. There is a large shower with bath type base and the hand basin has ample bench space holding a lovely supply of soap, shampoo and conditioner.
A car parking space is provided beside the small deck which overlooks the children’s playground and pool area. A towel rail is attached to the front of the building to help dry pool towels. The car parking space is open to the neighbouring cabin's car park which can be utilized by cars towing boats or trailers during non-peak periods (and, of course, no-one staying in the other cabin).
