For over 50 years several generations of our family have been travelling outback Australia. During this time we have used many methods of shelter. Unable to find something that suited our requirements. This set us on the path 10 years ago to manufacture our own prototype which we put through vigorous testing in the harshest terrain to see what was going to work and what was not.

The enquiries we received, whilst travelling, with the two prototypes was amazing so in 2013 we decided to become a licensed manufacturer enabling us to sell our vans to the public.

WHY COOLIBAH CARAVANS?

• Coolibah is a family run business and the head of operations being a licensed carpenter/joiner for the past 30 years.
•  Recognition of a niche market for a compact, lightweight van able to be towed by smaller vehicles.
•  Finding the balance of a towable vehicle that has the agility of a camper trailer and the comforts of a caravan.
•  We use Australian suppliers, materials and manufacturers.
•  Our vans have there final weigh in after all fixed options are installed.  This gives our customers true weights.

We found that there were some great all terrain vans on the market and not just gravel road vehicles, but they were out of our price range so along with the above we also wanted to produce a more affordable option and still retain the strength, stability and comfort.
